1And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2Down the middle of the street of the city. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall no longer be any curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be upon their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they shall need no lamp, nor light from the sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6And he said to me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass. 7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book. 8I, John, heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9Then he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God. 10And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11He who is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he who is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he who is holy, let him be holy still. 12Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15Outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star. 17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life without cost. 18For I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part in the tree of life, and in the holy city, which are described in this book. 20He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen.
