1 God arises, his enemies scatter:
2As smoke before wind is driven,
3But the righteous rejoice in God’s presence,
4Sing to God, make music to his name,
5Father of orphans, defender of widows,
6God brings home the lonely,
7God, when you went in front of your people

9Rain in abundance, God, you did sprinkle,
10A dwelling therein your people found:
11The LORD spoke the glad tidings of victory,
12“Kings of armies they flee, they flee,

15A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan,
16You high-peaked mountains, why look you askance
17The chariots of God are twice ten thousand:
18You did mount the height with trains of your captives,
19Blest be the LORD who sustains us daily,
20Our God is a God who is Saviour.
21Yes, God will shatter the head of his foes
22The LORD said: “I will bring you home from Bashan,
23that your feet you may bathe in blood,
24In the temple appear God’s triumphal processions,
25with singers in front, and minstrels behind,
26“You of the well-spring of Israel,
27There, in front, is Benjamin the little,
28God, show your strength,
29from your temple that crowns Jerusalem.
30Rebuke the beast of the reed,
31May they come from Egypt with gifts of oil,
32Sing to God, O you kingdoms of earth,
33Praise him who rides on the ancient heavens.
34Ascribe strength to the God over Israel,
35Awe-inspiring is God in his holy place,
