1 O God, you have spurned and broken us,
2You have shaken the land and cleft it;
3You have made your people drink hardship,
4You have given those who fear you a banner,
5for the rescue of your beloved.
6God did solemnly swear:
7Mine is Gilead, mine is Manasseh,
8Moab the pot that I wash in,
9O to be brought to the fortified city!
10Have you not spurned us, O God?
11Grant us help from the foe,
12With God we shall yet do bravely:
