1And he showed me a river of living water, transparent as crystal, which proceeded from the throne of God and the Lamb. 2And in the middle of its broad avenue, and near the river, on this side and on that, was the tree of life; which bore twelve sorts of fruits yielding one of its fruits each month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there will be no blight any more: and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it; and his servants will minister to him. 4And they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5And there will be no more night; and they have no need of the light of a candle, or of the light of the sun; because the Lord God giveth them light: and they will reign for ever and ever. 6And he said to me: These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirit of the prophets, hath sent me, his angel, to show unto his servants the things that must soon occur. 7And, lo, I come quickly: Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book. 8And more-over I am John, the hearer and the seer of these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9And he said to me: See, thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them that observe the words of this book. Worship God. 10And he said to me: Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is near. 11He that doth evil, let him do evil still; and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him practise righteousness still; and he that is sanctified, let him be sanctified still. 12Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to recompense every one according to his work. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Commencement and the Completion. 14Blessed are they who do his commandments, that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15Without will be dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and manslayers, and idolaters, and every one that loveth and doeth falsehood. 16I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things before the churches. I am the root and offspring of David: like the splendid star of the morning. 17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come thou. And let him that heareth, say, Come thou. And let him who thirsteth, come; and he that is inclined, let him take the living water gratis. 18I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, that if any one shall add to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book. 19And if any one shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his portion from the tree of life, and from the holy city, which are described in this book. 20He who testifieth these things, saith: Yes, I come quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21The grace of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, be with all the saints. Amen.
